Survey shows what improvements fans want most at Bragg Stadium

Rattler football fans want upgraded restrooms, upgraded/new seating, and upgraded concessions according to a new survey conducted by Downs & St. Germain Research and the Tallahassee/Leon County Office of Economic Vitality.  The survey was conducted in conjunction with the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency study to invest $10 million in making critical repairs to Bragg Memorial Stadium.

On September 17, Blueprint voted to allocate $10 million to FAMU for the stadium repairs.

Among the survey results of what updates are most important to fans are:

·      90% said upgraded restrooms

·      82% said new upgraded/new seating

·      76% said new concessions

·      58% club seating with dedicated indoor and outdoor seating

·      55% said new sound and lighting

·      52% said new upgraded/new scoreboard

·      43% said new wifi

·      28% said new suites

FAMU plans to spend $3.35 million to make upgrades to the restrooms, seating, concessions (the top three concerns), as well as install a new sound system and lighting in Bragg Stadium over the next few months.

The balance of the $10 million in funding from Blueprint will be used to address critical structural issues at the 67 year-old stadium, which was last renovated 38 years ago, and demolish the current press box and construct a new one.

Surprisingly, the parking lot did not come up on the fan survey as one of the areas in most need of improvement.
