FAMU has canceled its scheduled Spring Break in 2021. This decision was made to protect the health and safety of students, faculty and staff.
The new semester will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 6, but it will end a week early on Friday, April 23. The last day of classes will be on Friday, April 16, and final exams will be held during the following week.
The schedule changes are expected to help reduce the potential of students returning to campus with COVID-19 after traveling during Spring Break.
FAMU joins other public universities in the state that have canceled Spring Break, including UF and FSU.
