'94 FAMU grad named VP of Marketing & Strategy of Disneyland Resorts

Sybil Crum, a 1994 FAMU graduate, has been promoted to vice president, Disneyland Resort Marketing & Commercial Strategy.

Crum will start her new role on October 10 and will be relocating to Southern California from Orlando, Florida.

Crum is a 16-year Disney veteran. She has held a variety of director level roles within Disney Vacation Club and Disney Destinations working in marketing strategy, distribution marketing and sales. She currently serves as director, Marketing Strategy based at Walt Disney World in Orlando.

In her role as a director, Crum was key in the successful launch of new resorts including Aulani, Animal Kingdom Villas and Bay Lake Tower, and was instrumental in developing the marketing and strategy for Disney Dreamers Academy. She is known for her strong leadership of people and teams, the company said.

Before joining Disney, Crum was a senior manager at American Airlines for eight years.

The West Palm Beach, Fla., holds a bachelor’s in business economics and a master’s degree in marketing and strategy from Purdue University.

“I am grateful for the role FAMU has played in my career. The confidence, emotional fortitude, and determination needed to survive, thrive, and excel is a reflection of four years being nurtured and developed on the “highest hill” by world class academic leaders,” Crum said. “I will continue to “strike” because Rattler Nation is the underpinning of my success.”
