35 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 11 in Kalimpong, 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Pulbazar, 6 in Mirik, 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 20 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 9 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:-
4 Death:
Dipen Sarki, 40 yr old of Dr Zakir Hussain Busty Darjeeling (admitted on 30 November);
Biswanath Malakar, 73 yr old of Thakurnagar Eastern Byepass died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.
Renuka Burman, 60 yr old of Sushrutnagar Siliguri died in Maternity ward of NBMCH.
Mamata Thapa, 35 yr old of Jaigaon died in a Nursing Home at Sevoke Road.
60 in SMC:
60 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (34 in Darjeeling and 26 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive.
Sudipta Mondal Deputy Superintendent of NBMCH tested positive.
78 in Darjeeling district:
Of the 78 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 34 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 13 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Pulbazar, 6 in Mirik, 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 20 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive.
State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 114 new cases, 16408 confirmed cases of which 15376 have recovered and 189 died while 843 are active cases.

11 new cases, 22 release from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 11 new cases, 1954 confirmed cases of which 1831 have recovered, 22 died and 101 are active cases.
29 in Malda:
29 new cases, 38 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 29 new cases, 11882 confirmed cases of which 11399 have recovered and 106 died and 377 are active cases.
9 in Alipurduar:
9 new cases, 17 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 9 new cases, 7401 confirmed cases of which 7230 have recovered and 85 died while 86 are active cases.
21 in Coochbehar:
21 new cases, 25 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 34 new cases, 11075 confirmed cases of which 10533 have recovered, 66 died and 476 are active cases.
77 in Jalpaiguri:
2 death, 77 new cases, 107 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 77 new cases, 13280 confirmed cases of which 142 died while 12362 have recovered and 776 are active cases.
35 Discharged:
After testing negative and recovery 35 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.
NBMCH
During the last 24 hours 9 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 5 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, no patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.
DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital
At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 69 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 19 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 6 patients are newly admitted and 1 are released.
1 patient of Dr. Zakir Hussain Bustydied.
DESUN Covid Hospital
In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 43 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 2 patients are newly admitted, 10 are released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs stated that Darjeeling district records 114 new cases,16408 confirmed cases of which 15376 have recovered and 189 died while 843 are active cases.
