TULSA, Okla. March 7 2020
Police and private security officers were involved early Friday morning in a fatal shooting, a spokesperson for the Tulsa police department confirmed.
Police said that it occurred after a disturbance Friday morning at the Waterstone Apartments near 61st and Peoria.
Officers were called to a domestic violence at the complex around 2:30 a.m.
When they arrived, private security was on scene, and they found a man holding a knife.
Police told the man to drop the knife several times, but he refused.
Two officers, as well as a security guard at the scene, fired their weapons at the man.
The suspect was taken to the hospital where he later died.
